dieser 383 R/T Challenger lebt seit geraumer Zeit in Norddeutschland, nachdem er aus Georgia importiert wurde und zwischendurch sogar in Österreich weillte.

Das Bild ist inzwischen auch schon sehr gut rumgekommen im Netz.
Zu sehen ein schweizer Dragrace Event Ende der 80er Jahre auf einem noch im Bau befindlichen Autobahnabschnitt.
Der orangene '71 Challenger ist der vollgepackte (2 Fender Tags) schweizer Export Hemi, der vor ca. 3 Jahren nach Kanada verkauft wurde. Und dahinter ein 70er R/T Charger mit Glitzerlack und nachträglich verbautem Hemi. In dem Look fand man ihn noch bis vor ein paar Jahren gelegentlich auf Treffen, inzwischen wurde er schwarzmatt lackiert!

Vehicle rental business was monopoly of the state in socialist Hungary, just like virtually any other businesses. The only place where you could hire a car, was Mávaut, which company's main activity was long-distance bus travel.
Foreign customers could choose Simca, Peugeot, Fiat, Volga, but the top of the line was Plymouth Valiant. A handful of these elegant saloons were cruising in Budapest, with their very special registration plates starting with the XX-... letter combination. Sadly, they don't made these available for Hungarians - we were allowed to choose only Fiat 1500 or Volga M-21, but not the Valiants. Those were for people whom could pay in "hard" (convertible) currencies, not in Hungarian forint.

This is my mother-in-law with my two young daughters beside our brand new 1979 Plymouth Volaré Premier station wagon still with the temporary tag from the dealer in the back window. We're in Holiday Inn's parking garage at Ormond Beach, Florida, for an extended weekend. I kept this car for sixteen years before selling it to a neighbor, and it gave us excellent service over those years with not the first bit of rust.

This was a reward to myself after returning from Vietnam in February,1968, thus the snow! Sold it a year later to get married. I was located in east central Indiana and I believe it stayed in that general area at the time...GTS 383 four speed. It was kinda' different because of the longitudinal stripe, plus it had the vertical grill piece. Is it still out there?? or are there any like it still out around?

So wird's bei uns auch bald wieder sein! Nur der Hofreiter und andere PDS Nachfolger dürfen im A8 spazieren fahren, die übrigen Genossen bekommen einen E Roller!
