His most famous flopper was the one that this arm came off of, the aforementioned, “Revell’s Wild Man” machine. It certainly speaks to the era and the attitude of the sport in the early 1970s. It was a time when humor, showmanship, and the ability to entertain the fans in any way possible was valued. This arm is living proof and we’ve always thought that it was one of the neatest “props” used in the sport of drag racing.
Bidding is currently at $1500 with more than 35 bids having been placed. This thing belongs (in our opinion) in the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame down in Florida. It is an amazing artifact and something that we wish we could own and put on the mantle…although it would look a little creepy.
